On Wednesday, our Erasmus mobility group visited the SOGAMA Environmental Complex in Cerceda, one of the key activities of the week due to its strong connection with sustainability and the project theme.
The group —students from our school and from Serbia— attended an educational session on the global challenge of waste production and the role of citizens in applying the 3Rs: reduce, reuse and recycle.
Afterward, the students took part in an immersive 360º virtual tour, exploring the different facilities and learning how waste is sorted, recycled and converted into useful resources or even electricity for Galician homes, preventing landfill disposal.
The activity concluded with a discussion session, where students shared reflections and questions, strengthening their environmental awareness and critical thinking.
It was a meaningful experience that helped the group better understand how waste management contributes to protecting the planet and building a more sustainable future.
